Last year, the Biden Administration passed the Inflation Reduction Act. The dollars in this federal grant are about to start being dispersed to their respective states – and we at EnviroVoters Ed Fund want to ensure that the California dollars are going to be used for what they are meant for: the Affordable Clean Energy Plan: Investing in Communities to Expand Climate Solutions, Jobs, and Environmental Justice. Taken together, the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) and Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA), comprise an affordable clean energy plan. EnviroVoters Ed Fund and local partners will be convening an Infrastructure and IRA funding Accelerator Conference with the intention to bring stakeholders, local officials, planners and engineers together to create a mutual learning space and get down to the brass tacks of how this work is going to get done in our community.
EnviroVoters Ed Fund exists to radically advance climate policy and legislation by promoting greater civic participation, shifting public opinion, and educating the public and legislators.
