2025 has been an extraordinarily hard year.
Between the costliest wildfires in California’s history that leveled parts of Los Angeles communities, ongoing ICE raids that tear families apart, massive federal funding cuts, economic pressures made worse by tariffs, and the President’s attempt to dismantle democracy, we were dealt rough cards this year.
And yet, in these dark moments, one truth remains constant: California has the power — and the responsibility — to lead.
With the help of our partners, legislative champions, funders, and supporters like you, EnviroVoters, the Ed Fund, and our PAC entities were able to achieve some amazing things despite all we faced. From making California safer, healthier, and more affordable, to uplifting our youth, to protecting our natural lands, we have a lot to be proud of.
Here are our top moments of the year for the EnviroVoters Education Fund:
Secured Thousands of Acres of Important Natural Lands:
We played a critical role in establishing the Chuckwalla National Monument in Southern California and the Sáttítla Highlands National Monument in Northern California. These monuments protect hundreds of thousands of acres of tribal lands, safeguard clean water for communities, and preserve our state’s crucial biodiversity.
Took Massive Step Towards Youth Representation
Through targeted organizing, outreach, and educational events, our Youth Ambassadors achieved their campaign goal to gain endorsement for the establishment of youth-led climate councils on both the Fresno and Riverside Counties’ Boards of Supervisors. These youth councils are imperative to the climate justice movement in frontline communities most affected by the climate crisis.
Trained the Next Generation of Climate Leaders
We co-hosted the Inland Empire Justice Leadership Academy Boards and Commissions Training, a program that empowered community members to be champions for climate resilience and strong democracy. By recruiting and elevating underrepresented community leaders with lived experiences on the front lines of the climate crisis, this program strengthens and diversifies our state’s leadership at every level.
Our accomplishments prove that when Californians unite, we can take on big, complex challenges—and win. Thank you for joining us in this fight!
